The reason why yellow has column separators is because it goes all the way back to the days prior to DDS and the world of RPG II. Prior to DDS IBM came up with a scheme in that colors were archived by a combination of field attributes like, to get RED you set the display attribute to blink. To get white you set it to high intensity, etc. Some of the colors include column separators. Yellow is only one of them. There are others like turquoise I believe. When IBM came out with DDS they kept the same scheme for compatibility I guess. Michael Soucy Sr. Programmer/Analyst Community Health and Counseling Services.
