What does it take to get up and running with PASE (Portable Applications
Solutions Environment)? I just read a little about it after I saw your
post, otherwise I have zero knowledge. If it is easy then I would love
to have that implemented as a method to get CVS installed! Does PASE
have access to the IFS (where I will be storing my RPG)?

Aaron,

It looks like
https://ccvs.cvshome.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?expandFolder=94&fo
lder
ID=0
has an AIX binary that might run in PASE. Not sure...

You are correct Joe, I am looking for a CVS server. I guess that rules
that one out :-) I haven't ever setup a CVS server (iSeries or other
platform) I have only used them, so maybe I should just take a running
jump at installing it on the IFS and see if I can run it manually from
Qshell. Maybe I will hit up the WDSc list to see if anybody has done
this from that perspective (maybe for Java code).

Aaron, the package Christian spoke of is a CVS client. I THINK that
what you're looking for is a CVS server that will run on the iSeries,
one that you can connect to using WDSC.

If, however, you're truly looking for a client, then where are you going
to run the server? I haven't seen any Java CVS servers.
