PST = Pacific Standard Time.  PDT = Pacific Daylight Savings Time.
You are in the PDT zone.

These values just display the value of your system clock, they don't make
any adjustments based on timezone, and therefore are different than some
of the APIs.

Change it to -0700 for daylight savings time.  Change it back to -0800
when daylight savings time ends.   You should be doing this whenever you
change the clock for daylight savings...
