I don't recall the original problem, and gotta run. My recollection is it involved doing a SQUARE of something-or-other, but wasn't necessarily a monetary calculation. (May have been, but dunno why you'd need an exponent of a dollar amount unless yer IBM contemplating price increases...;-D) Granted, this is not common in biz apps (I don't recall having to need one), but probably comes up every now and again. I lied, and went back to original post by Scott, and example was just "two numbers" that didn't give identical results. I sort-a doubt they were dollar amounts, but that wasn't specified.
