Juan, I am present working on an overlay. I was originally printing to AFP 300 which generated a .prn (printer file) which I uploaded and compiled on the AS400. Then I realised that the AFP workbench (From Client Access) allows you to view the .prn files as mentioned above and create a .oly file (overlay) with them. This too will upload and compile on the AS400. I am not sure what difference it makes whether you use a .oly or a .prn file but 'inconsistently' when I used the AFP workbench to generate .oly files sometimes their size would differ from 3kb to 19kb and the overlay in Word had NOT changed significantly!!!? Perhaps this might be of some help although I'm not sure how you are creating your overlay before you upload it. Good morning, I create a form in Word and need to create that form as an overlay for a PRTF I have created on the AS400(V4R4), when i use the CRTOVL command I get an error saying something about the object i am trying to use for the overlay is not valid. i dug in deeper and found out that the CRTOVL has a 37kb limit, is there a way around this (beside RLU or 3rd party software)???The from i have is 47 kb, thus i get that error on the AS400. I thank you all in advance.
