I can't answer your ? but have you seen May the (AFP overlay forms be with
you a Midrange Computing article may 2000

Good morning,
I create a form in Word and need to create that form as an overlay for a
PRTF I have created on the AS400(V4R4), when i use the CRTOVL command I 
get
an error saying something about the object i am trying to use for the
overlay is not valid. i dug in deeper and found out that the CRTOVL has a
37kb limit, is there a way around this (beside RLU or 3rd party
software)???The from i have is 47 kb, thus i get that error on the AS400.
