I can't answer this question but others can...
 
Would you be quicker/better to do your trigger with SQL? Where you have to
learn something anyway wouldn't SQL be the bigger win for you to learn?

Rob,
Well I guess I am going to have to learn RPG LE. All I wanted to do was have
a CL program called when a records was entered in ZZUSER2. I get 'record
lock' trying to call the 'CL'. I cannot believe it is this hard.
