I offer the following as reasons to persist with the Prototype/Procedure Interface approach: - all "declarative" coding appears on the D-specs - consistent and easier to locate. - D-spec format allows for more function through the Keywords section - both at present and in the future (enhancements) - specifically the OPTIONS, VALUE and CONST keywords for PR/PI parameter definitions provide more function and flexibility - avoids the need for fixed-format C-spec coding Hope this helps.
