Hopefully you know me well enough by now to know I'm not in anyway advocating DOS over OS/400... all I'm saying is that this should be easier. > I realize it's tough to > get started, but you're really in the very initial part of the learning > curve, where the most speed bumps are. I'm not sure how to take this: my learning curve started 6 years ago. I'm not new to QSH, RPG, APIs, or any of that, just this particular conglomeration of technologies all at once seem to be defeating me :-) > If it still doesn't work for you, email me the whole code and I'll see > what if I can find a little time to look at it. > Gladly, but right now I have it torn up trying to get it to work. If I don't figure something out today - right now I'm playing with overriding stdout and using the QSH CMD(...) - I'll e-mail it to you tomorrow. I'd still like to get the APIs to work, but if I have to resort to issuing the commands natively and overriding standard out I will, but once again I don't understand why such a basic function requires so much effort.
