John,
Sometimes, depending on the situation, I just "change" the record which is
deleted (using dspatr indicators), maybe turn it red and hide the select
field, leaving it in the subfile and data file, or delete it from the file.
Sometimes, I leave the select field and the record, allowing an "undelete"
of this record. If you leave a "deleted" record in the file, you have to
"remember" which record to delete at the end of the session, or on a
re-position of the subfile. This can get kind of complicated. This is the
only way I ever leave a record "blank".

More often, I reload the subfile as you stated, putting the cursor back on
the same "page". This doesn't work too well with a load-all subfile, which
I hardly ever use anyway.

All this, of course, depending on the "effect" I'm going for. Usually, my
goal in a subfile program is to come as close to a GUI (Windows) as I can.

Hi all

I was wondering if any of you would share how you display a subfile after a
user deletes a record. Do you totally reload and display from the
beginning, leave the record blank? I am reloading and would like to think
there is a better way. Thanks
