Hans, >Hmmm... Hey, I never said I agreed with them! To me, subprocedures rank as arguably the biggest improvement of RPG IV over RPG III. Of course, to support subprocedures mandated some prerequisites such as the extended factor 2 etc. I'll accept you can code RPG IV and not necessarily fully understand activation groups. But I have a real hard time with somebody who claims to be working with RPG IV for nearly a decade and still can't or won't use EVAL and subprocedures! Doug
