May I add to your request? This strikes me as a perfect opportunity to learn
a bit more about service programs. Shopuld she even be reading the data are
in her program? Should she have a line that says:
C eval getnextnumber( nextnumber)
??

My data area is used for next number. Only one user can access the program
at any given time. I have defined the data area using the D spec, with just
DS, no U. I have other programs using a data area in the same fashion with
no lock errors. Help!
