You need to clear the program message queue when you 1st come into the program 
and anytime you want to clear the messages.

Many ways to do this. Probably the easiest is to create a CL program like this 
one:

PGM        PARM(&PGMQ)                   
  DCL        VAR(&PGMQ) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(10)
  RMVMSG     PGMQ(*SAME &PGMQ) CLEAR(*ALL) 
  RETURN                                   
ENDPGM

You can get the message queue name from the Program status data structure.

D                SDS       
D  PGMQ             *PROC                                    


I think that should solve it.

Thanks for the reply Vasant,
I have tried that method, if i do that the Application messages are also
cleared isn't it?? As the flow of the program is such that my application
messages are send to the PGMQ first and then the OPNQRY/CPYFRMQRYF is
executed...:-)
