Interesting.  Why don't you bring your own laptop?  You have probably
figured out that the world of contracting is a changin', and supply now
outstrips demand.  If you want the benefits of being independant (more
$, etc.), you need to take the responsibilities of being independant
(providing your own tools).

When is the last time you saw an auditor show up without a laptop?

>From much experience using contractors, those that bring their own
equipment impress me.  The biggest issue most of us have with
contractors is an unwillingness to take responsibility.  Those that
bring their own PC show a willingness to take responsibility, and take
control of their productivity.
