Take the source and recompile in latest OS version then you can debug for
sure.

Subject: STRDBG problem V5R2 on objects compiled for older release

Help ! We can't debug anymore ????

After Upgrade to V5R2 We cannot add a pgm in debug
that was compiled to an older release (or start debug such a pgm)
And that was 'moved to production library'

Trying to add a breakpoint results in message

CPF7102 - Unable to add breakpoint or trace (reason 7)
Reason 7 meaning: Breakpoint or trace not allowed

... Caused when pgm is changed due to
save,restore,copy,delete,compress,creation of a duplicate object,
Or check on object integrity

This means it's forbidden in V5R2 to move or copy an object from a test to a
production environment ???

PS: If the object in the production environment is sent to a remote iSeries,
The debugging works again.
