Thank you for responding.  I am fairly new to programming and have one other
question.  When you refer to putting the records into memory, are you
referring to an array?

Another method besides those already mentioned is to use another subfile, which you would not actually display. You would clear the second subfile, copy to it the records you want to keep, then clear the first subfile and copy the records back.


You also could just alternate which subfile you display and process but in my opinion that would be more work than is warranted to save the time of copying the records from the second subfile back to the first.
