Some alternatives to think about. If you want to start working with APIs, look into the user index API. If you prefer something very similar to the code you already have, look at creating a second subfile; one that you never display. When the user 'deletes' a record from the real subfile, mark the corresponding record 'deleted' in the hidden subfile. Then clear the real one and read back all the records from the hidden one, dropping the deleted records. --buck
