We use a product called Sequel from Advanced Systems Concepts 
http://www.asc-as400.com/products.htm 

It is very easy to use, you write the SQL to query your database, output to one 
of many formats, including Excel, and enter the email address.  I use the heck 
out of it.

I need to create a batch routine that will extract information from an as/400
database file and create various excel spreadsheets out of them. I then need
to email there files to our customers. 

Any ideas or suggestions on how to automate this process.
