Someone did try to convert POP, Nelson. It was called 'PAPA'. We bought it back on V1R2. If I remember correctly, there wasn't the access to API's , etc. that there is now. The product ran so slow, that we abandoned it. Can't even remember the company's name. We were lucky at the time. There were only 4 of us, 2 of us having S38 experience also. We just created our own standards (borrowing from other shops that we had been in) and went from there. Now there are about 25 - 30 of us still using those standards. Valene M. I never understood why it wasn't converted to the 400. Not only did it have much better features than PDM, but every aspect of it was completely customizable. Being from that background, I also prefer the single source file, but alas, most 400 shops I've worked at use the separate source file system and it's impossible to get a shop to change from whatever they have grown accustomed to. One shop I worked at managed to pick the worst attributes from both methods. They used a single source file, but prefixed rather than suffixed their source members. So, naturally, all related sources were scattered all over the file.
