Doc, I am with you on this one.  I know of no better way to make enemies
than to lock the keyboard.  I'd doubt its possible anyway in a Windows
environment.   But if the DDS for the screen does not have ERRSFL it will
lock a terminal.
 
I agree about the overlaying window but not F12 or F3.  I prefer Enter

I'm probably going to stick my foot in it for asking this, but isn't 
locking the keyboard the number one user no-no?
 
My feeling is that if the user MUST look at a message or set of 
messages, the messages should be thrown into a message subfile that 
appears in a window overlaying the screen. That way, the user can press 
F12 or F3 to exit, rather than hitting the Error Reset key.
