I'm probably going to stick my foot in it for asking this, but isn't locking the keyboard the number one user no-no?

My feeling is that if the user MUST look at a message or set of messages, the messages should be thrown into a message subfile that appears in a window overlaying the screen. That way, the user can press F12 or F3 to exit, rather than hitting the Error Reset key.

Just my two cents.

Have you tried the LOCK keyword in the DDS?

Basically I need to
implement the functionality of ERRMSGID i,e lock the keyboard at the
display of the error message and unlock the keyboard once I press the
exit key.
How to go about it?
