Well, that is already in the INFDS.  If row / column were all I was
looking for, I'd just use the INFDS.  In fact, for consistency's sake,
I'd probably always use the INFDS to get info from there vs. an API.

Looking at the API docs just briefly, it would appear that everything
you would possibly want to know about a file can be had there.  Looks
like some weekend reading coming up.  <g>
