It is indeed in the MI Functional Reference and can be found online here:

You could also use the QECCVTEC (Convert Edit Code to Mask) API to generate
the edit mask - and the LBEDIT builtin is also an option (see "Bound
program access" for EDIT following the link above) if you want to call the
EDIT function from RPG/IV.
