Actually, you'll find me agreeing with you about divide-by-zero.  I
discovered that division is expensive and accident prone way back in Sys/3
Mod 6 days when we counted bytes to avoid overlays . Multiplying by .01 is
way better than dividing by 100.  You won't find much DIV op code stuff in
any programs I write for exactly the reasons you say.
