Blockbuster's Distribution Center in Dallas went live on the AS/400 with J.D. Edwards World Software 2.1 on January 2, 1990. I should know, because I was working there at the Dallas site as a consultant at the time. This is not hard for me to remember, since I worked _all_ night on January 1, 1990, getting ready for go-live the next day. They did not use S/38 prior to the AS/400. I believe that they were using a VAX. The Distribution center is now located in McKinney, Texas, still running on the AS/400. The Ft. Lauderdale office went live on JDE financials at about the same time. It is now located in downtown Dallas, AFAIK.
