No I am compiling with *caller. and the program is running in *DFTACTGRP. Also the override is working. I checked that explicitly since without override, another Data Path was being created which was not the case after setting the override. Also if you could please tell if what I am doing in the first place is right or wrong because I am executing READ filename in module M1 main procedure and accessing the file fields in the procedure P1 of module M2 by calling P1 immediately after the READ. So, how are you compiling multiple modules into the default activation group?! Is it possible that it's not running in default, and you don't realize it? If so, your override might not be working, and maybe that explains the problem? These are just guesses, but without seeing hte code, there's only so much I can do... _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
