Hi Gary,

I'm presenting the MI behavior as confirmation of what I would expect to
happen.  Whenever the system cannot perform the instruction it should signal
an exception.
Adding to a null pointer is something that the system cant do and it has to
tell, that is signal, the executing program of that condition.
