Steve, What makes you think there is a one-to-one mapping of Eval Ptr = Ptr + 32 to MI's AddSpP instruction? I would be surprised to learn that there is a one-to-one mapping even if it were technically possible. And for the fact that you think it should signal an exception... Consider that the compiler could be generating exception handling code to prevent that particular error. Perhaps just to throw its own exception - a more RPGesque exception. Food for thought.
