Menubar

Hi, I created a menu bar successfully, with  a few puldown menu's

Something I'm still struggling with, is to keep a pulldown option "open"
after a selection was made, and is returned to the menu bar

For instance if I select , say option 3 on pulldown menu 2, it is executed,
but when I return from the called program, and it goes back through the
loop to do the EXMFT on the Menubar again , the pulldown menu is "closed",
and the cursor is on the lefthand menubar option .

I would like the pulldown menu that I selected last, to stay open, and the
cursor to remain on the last option I used, after it returns from the
called function.

I tried various options, of reading, writing the pulldown, and menu bar,
but I don't seem to get it right!
