I'm not the expert on GPL, but there are lots of .pdf files out there, but to use them, you have to download the (free) reader first, but it is now kind of a standard. Not so complicated for even most PC users.. But it is right for businesses to watch their bottom line. There are too many lawyers (I'm smiling) out there and they've got to make money. Personally I think a few companies are going to lead the way. Plus, giving recognition one way or another to me is not a very complicated or problematic, in fact it should be standard practice for everybody all the time, don't you think? Of course one place I worked at, one guy said he quit putting his name in the code because somebody always came back to him to ask him about it!!
