Talk to your network people and have them add it to the DNS. Do not get
into the nasty habit of defining everything in your client's host table.

Subject: New host name for CA AS400 to PC transfer

How do I specify a different system name in Client Access data transfer
(another AS400 that I have the TCPIP address for but that isn't recognised
by it's system name, not on host table). Is it easier to add it to a
windows host table?

In the past I have only had to type in the AS400 name but this one must
not
be defined to the system as it is not recognised.

Thanks all,

Jenny
