Jeff, I didn't say I didn't understand it. But just because I understand it does that mean I must use it. We have several people here who love to do things in REXX. Great language for some things, however when they start to code things that way and expect the other 20 or 30 programmers to understand what it does is that necessarily a good way to code. Not everyone here knows REXX as many of the other languages or details in those languages. I know COBOL also, but when a program in 36 COBOL comes along I will do my darndest to let someone else make the changes. I guess I should retire then. I was going to reply just as smart-alecky as you did, but decided against it. If you didn't read Doug's entire post and get it, you wouldn't get this either. Rob Berendt replied better anyway. Doug's whole point was just because it's been around for years and years doesn't mean it isn't valuable. It's been pointed out many times on various lists just how old Unix is. -- Jeff Crosby Dilgard Frozen Foods, Inc. P.O. Box 13369 Ft.
