I *definitely* need more than one file in CLP. That is the main reason, IMO, to just forget about CLP and write it in RPG. Otherwise I wind up with 3 CLPs calling each other because I need 3 files open. Better CLP File I/O would be nice too. (readp, setll type calls). Am I upset with DDS .vs. SQL? I use DDS to define files, I *never* use SQL. When you can only do something in SQL in a file definition it leaves me out of the loop. Yes, file update in CLP would be *great*. I haven't use much embedded SQL in CLP so couldn't say. Regards, Jim Langston -----Original Message----- From: M.
