maybe it's just me who's confused, but there seems to be a bit of confusion
on whether SFLNXTCHG works if you chain to and update a subfile record.

I won't vouch for any older versions, but V4R5M0, SFLNXTCHG works fine when
chaining to subfiles, no need to mess with the MDT attribute.

No,  But you can set on an indicator to set the MDT flag on(via DSPATR(MDT)
so it will be read on the next READC.

(after chain,  set on indicator, UPDATE sfl dataformat, turn off indicator)

Based on the manuals in those days (V3R1 orV3R2, as I recall) SFLNXTCHG
would not work on a SFL chain operation.

Perhaps I am mistaken or the manuals were wrong.
