Don, This from the dds reference on SFLCSRRRN: "The relative-record field will contain the value 0 if the cursor is not located in the subfile associated with this subfile control record, or if the cursor is located within the subfile, but is not in an active record within the subfile." so, maybe it was a problem at one time, but shouldn't be one now. Now if you had an subfile initiallized SFLINZ RNA, you might get zero on a 'new' subfile record. that would be problematic for trying to prompt for data on an 'entry' subfile. But I haven't used a subfile that way in 10 years. regards, rick ----original message----- It's been a while, but I believe it was returning a one instead of a zero, which I would have expected. I think there was another problem also, but I can't remember what it was. I'll probably try it again when I get to a more current release. Donald R.
