No.  That's sounds wrong.  If that's what is happening someone deserves an
APAR.  What about an integer field containing the value zero (e.g.,
x'0000') in the middle of a record?

It would seem that the Domino application is treating the array parameter
as a C-string, hence the x'00' terminator effect.

Why aren't you using real result sets (i.e., SET RESULT SETS CURSOR xxx)?

Write a small Java application that invokes the same stored procedure and
see if that also suffers the truncation.  If I get time I might play with
this.
