If I use multiple fields instead of trying to store it as one big field I don't get any problems. Basically I changed from: D Parm1 DS Occurs(1) D Valid 1a D Exception 7a D vLogin 380a ... D login e ds extname(login) To defining each field which appears in the DS login, underneath Parm1 and removed vLogin. And why didn't I define vLogin as like(login) instead of 380a? What about an integer field containing the value zero (e.g., x'0000') in the middle of a record? It would seem that the Domino application is treating the array parameter as a C-string, hence the x'00' terminator effect. Why aren't you using real result sets (i.e., SET RESULT SETS CURSOR xxx)? Write a small Java application that invokes the same stored procedure and see if that also suffers the truncation. If I get time I might play with this.
