Data entry into menu

Hi everyone
Quick question, hopefully a quick answer.
My problem is as follows :-
We need to input to one particular screen, approximately 1400 - 1600 separate 
sets of data. (In other words - 1400 - 1600 screens)
I seem to remember this idea/procedure being discussed  before, but I cant find 
anything in the archives.
If anyone remembers/knows this particular discussion, please let me know what I 
should be looking for.
