Wow
when I was first introduced to the AS/400 (I know - now i-Series) and the idea
of Logicals, I was told that there should be at least one very important
question asked -
How often is this Logical required?
If the logical is required 1, 2 , 3 , 4 times a year etc., contmplate OPNQRYF
instead.
Just a suggestion

Anyone ever have a file with 100+ logicals?

The design choice I'm facing is either fewer LFs but more complicated
inquiry programs & potential performance penalties vs. having many logicals
with simpler and quicker programs (less file reads).

Any wisdom on this? Pitfalls? Considerations?

Thanks...

Tom
