Just making a point that IF an opcode can be abused, then it WILL be abused.
Barbara's most cogent argument thus far (to my mind) is that the MOVE
operation can be abused, and so that's why it got whacked.  I'm still not
sure I agree, but if there are a set of STANDARD replacements, that will at
least help.
