Raul, We encountered this problem a long time ago when we used triggers perform functions that were required for interfacing to a 3rd party product that ran in a PC environment but updated our DB2/400 database via ODBC. Our simplest solution was to have the trigger program always call a utility program that set the appropriate list based on a parameter passed to it. Since we already had a program that used an API to extract the library list from any given JOBD and then set it, we merely had to call this utility since it exists in a general purpose library that is always in any library list. This way we only ever need to maintain the JOBD. Cheers, peter -----Original Message----- From: Raul Jager [mailto:raul@abc.com.py] Sent: Saturday, January 26, 2002 11:22 AM To: rpg400-l@midrange.com Subject: Trigger & *libl Hi. I wrote a trigger program that reads a file to do some validations. It works when the jobd for the user has the library where the file is, but otherwise it does not find the file. How can the trigger program find in which library is the file? TIA Raul. _______________________________________________ This is the RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries (RPG400-L) mailing list To post a message email: RPG400-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/rpg400-l or email: RPG400-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/rpg400-l.
