I believe I'll take all of the above: a) Understand and use this stuff when required I use basing pointers for named indicators all the time. I only use indicators for Display and Printer file I/O, but this ability makes pointers worth every dollar spent on them. b) Have heard of it and would like to try it out I see some potential future things to use them for such as a C procedure or overlaying data with data structures. c) Have heard of it and wouldn't go anywhere near it This would fall under "Would not use it because there other less complicated ways of doing some things." d) Have no idea what I'm talking about :) "call-back" I have no idea what this is. Considering the topic and the name, my best guess would be a procedure that returns a pointer to the calling program and gets it back when called again for future use. Just a guess.
