Mike, I think the problems being referred to are that the key list definitions in the RPG would need to match those of the file in order to be able to CHAIN, READE etc. If you needed to access the OPNQRYF randomly in the RPG, you would need to create a version of the file keyed in the correct sequence first before the compile, so that you wouldn't get a runtime exception. Not impossible of course, but a problem to be surmounted.
