Anita, After entering the STRDBG command, set at least one breakpoint (type BREAK XXXX on command line where XXXX represents line number OR F6 on line number you would like to break on). Then hit F12 to return to your command line. Next call your program. Hope that helps. But I cannot use debug. I am trying to read the manual and have compiled it various ways, including: CRTBNDRPG PGM(MYLIB/RPGPGM) DFTACTGRP(*NO) DBGVIEW(*SOURCE)ACTGRP(*NEW) After playing around with this, I was able to view the source. But, when I try to debug it, I use: STRDBG (MYLIB/RPGPGM) At this point, I select F10 to step through the program (I normally use STRISDB). This is when it returns me to where I was before the STRDBG command. Can anyone shed any light? Your help is appreciated.
