Hans

I am renaming the two fields from a record format.
I have a PF and a LF that has the same names, and
I just wanted to rename two fields I will be using
with D specs instead of using I specs. Its really
a cosmetic thing. But I would like to get all of the
I specs out of the RPGIV programs I write/modify for
future program additions/modifications.

What is the difference between using I specs and D specs in this regard?

PS. I'm still learning (programming in RPG a little over a year and a half)
Started with RPGIII then moved to RPGIV a little later. Just wanted to
let you know so you would know what you are dealing with.

Thanks
Troy Dills

>Troy: Exactly what are you trying to accomplish? Renaming fields on
>the D-Spec as shown does not have the same effect as renaming fields on

>only way is by coding the renames on I-Specs.
