Service program signature violations?

My good lady Ms Gantner (the queen of ILE) has pointed out to me that I
misspoke about hard-coded signatures being a solution.

I had completely forgotten this.  Despite what we thought and taught for
some time, export *ALL exports the procedures in alphabetical order - not in
the sequence encountered.  Consequently unless you add new procedures only
at the end of the alpha sequence, this won't work as the slot numbers will
not match those expected by the program.  It will all compile but you be
forever executing the wrong code.
