Hmm.. strange message. If I'm reading this right, the message it saying that it can not use *FMT20GB, so it used *FMT20GB instead. It may actually be set for *FMT20GB. I think I used to get this message too, which is why I just formatted the tapes in the 5GB machine which the 7GB could use fine. Recovery . . . : If the volume was not initialized to an acceptable density, then try the request again to a device that can process the required density. Technical description . . . . . . . . : If DENSITY(*CTGTYPE) was specified, then the device may not support cartridge checking capabilities. If this is the case, then DENSITY(*DEVTYPE) will be used. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------- Regards, Hrishikesh Kotwal >From: Jim Langston >Reply-To: rpg400-l@midrange.com >To: "'rpg400-l@midrange.com'" >Subject: RE: Transfer of Data from AS/400 to AS/400 >Date: Mon, 12 Nov 2001 08:33:00 -0800 > >INZTAP has a DENSITY option.
