Finaly, we choose to extract the prototype from the source of the service program and put it in it's own source member. Now there is an unconditioned /copy in both the service program and the program that uses the service program and that works. Thanks for your suggestions. If that doesn't fit with your program you might need another spec - maybe a P? I gave up working with that precompiler a while ago.
