Here is how I would code something like that:

eval    newSSNO = %subst(SSNO:1:3) + '-' +
                  %subst(SSNO:4:2) + '-' +
                  %subst(SSNO:6:4)

HTH.  Of course you have to be able to use the %subst bif(V3R2?).

I am trying to use a program that was writen by someone. I would like to
insert "-". E.g 111111111 would like to see 111-111-111. I run the prgram
but I get 111-111111. Can you please take a look at the code and let me know
what I am missing. Thanks in advance.
