nope, you need to get an exclusive lock on the physical file and the
logicals reference the data in the physicals.

the good news is you only need a couple of seconds of that exclusive lock.

if you do a WRKOBJLCK OBJ(libraryname/filename) OBJTYPE(*FILE) and see no
locks (pay attention to the F6 for member locks) you can add the triggers.

When I apply the command ADDPFTRG on a file, and users are using the logical
files will it work?.  I get an error message stating the object is locked.
If this is true then, when I remove the triggers also the users should notbe
using the files?.
